Jacen ran in the stairs and Roland followed him like his shadow, his bolter raised in order to be able to answer immediately to any possible rebel fire.
OOC : Sorry for the very short message but I'm out of a three days go tournament, with a very exhausting last game, I will do better next time.

Looking forward across the street, Guillford saw that Kraytorius and Amores were already across and noticed that bothe were ready to lay down some cover fires. Still crouched Guillford made his way to in front of the Commander and peered out. Once he got a look at the opposition on the adjacent building across the street. " Commander in situation as such the command squad is to go first, the rest of the squad covering them from behind and the front. With out a structure of command their can be no success", stated Guillford in his mechanical voice word for word from the Codex Astrates.
If the Commander listened and agreed then Guillford would signal across the street that they were to lay down some covering fire in five seconds. Bringing up his left hand he held up one finger. Then two and three fingers followed. On the fourth finger his thumb on his right hand switch the firing mode to burst from automatic. On five he stood up and turned to the corner squeezing his trigger every two seconds letting out a burst of three bolter shells to the roof of the building, his target the heretic across the street.

(OOC: Sorry Commodus, was waiting or you to post but I didn't want a GM post before I was able to suppress the traitors.)
The order to suppress the traitors came moments after they had cleared the last room.
"Commodus, we can't guarantee the roof is clear so cover my back while I suppress those heretics." Magnus called to the other scout before heading to the north window.
He could see the street clearly, and his enhanced eyesight could see possible contacts across the road. He took his time, aiming at the nearest traitor near building 4. He was busy shooting the loyal guardsmen on the road. After aiming, Magnus let off a short burst, hoping the Emporer would guide his bolts.

GM
”Understood commander, we are moving now”
"FORCE COMMANDER - CHARLIE FIRETEAM CLEARING THE SECOND STOREY OF THE ADMIN BUILDING NOW - STAND BY"
The two acknowledgments came swiftly after his initial orders. The two sergeants were a world apart in character. Julius was younger than he yet possessed a wisdom far beyond his years. Not only that he was calm and calculated. Manius was as spontaneous as Julius was calculated and matched a fierce loyalty with a fire that outshone many a battle brother.
********************************************************************************************************************* (OOC: Achilles and Camillus are away so forgive the auto moves)
Brother Achilles and Camillus swept to the left in a fluid motion that defied their immense bulk. The two Adeptus Astartes broke to the left and entered the East wing and after about twenty second there came a click and the voice of Achilles came across the fireteam comm-net.
++++ This is Achilles, East Wing clear. Regrouping with you Sergeant now ++++
Sergeant Manius Agrippa watched the stairs to the Top floor, his bolter trained on the stairs. The top floor and roof was where the majority of the rebels were located and as the squad progressed up the building the phantoms signals seemed to evaporate and the proximity signal strength increased.
Brother Catern and Brother Muleto raced up the stairs and to the right. Their objective: to clear the Western Wing of the admin building second storey. Jacen Catern swept into the first room and was met by an empty room, but behind the remains of an oak door, shredded and barely hanging on its hinges came a warning shout. Evidently there was a rebel on this floor that the thermal scan had not picked up. Within moments autopistol rounds flew through what remained of the door, filling the room that the two space marines stood in with small calibre auto fire. There had been only one shout and yet rounds from more than one weapon blazed at the doorway.
An autopistol round sped through the partially obstructed doorway and pinged off the shoulder piece of Brother Muleto, ricocheting harmlessly into the plaster wall. Catern and Muleto prepared themselves to clear the next room, where at least one traitor prepared to meet them.
(OOC: ok guys first come first serve gets the kill. Remember to make it good and write us a nice post)
*************************************************************************************************************************** (Bear in mind that some of Delta Fireteam are near the Ruined Hab Block south-west of Building 4)
Scout Novice Calpurnius and Commodus were now on the first floor of Building two and had begun to start pouring fire down on the buildings across the street to the west of Building Four.
The Heavy Bolter barked and a short burst of bolter rounds sped across the street, impacting on the lip of the roof that the heretic was using for cover. The rockcrete was no match for the high explosive large calibre rounds and the heretic was flung backwards as a round penetrated the wall and hit him in the torso. The heretic landed among the ruins of the Hab Block. The scout novice had notched up another kill, proving he was a proud addition to the chapter and with some practice would become a fearsome devastator when the time came.
Taraniaus and Raziel sped across the street to link up with the other scouts as Julius Quintus ducked another bout of enemy incoming. The fire had slackened off as soon as the heavy bolter of Calpurnius had opened up on the buildings to the north.
The command squad some of Delta fireteam were about to cross the road and assault the traitors to the north and they would need all the cover fire they could get. Normally they would have flanked the traitors and finished them but time was pressing if they were to save these loyal servants of the emperor.
****************************************************************************************************
Brother Shalluat and Amores had crossed the road as commanded and were now taking cover in the ruins just south of Building four. They were comforted as a heavy bolter opened up on the Buildings to their west, suppressing the heretics. These two marines had been given the job of flanking the traitors on the north side of the road while the rest of delta and the command squad hopped the road from building 3 into the buildings to the North. They shared a sense of satisfaction as they witnessed a heavy bolter round punch through the wall and fling a traitor to the floor of the ruined Hab block. They would have to make sure he was dead before continuing. They could do it silently in order to keep the element of surprise or go in guns blazing.
Their two man team had worked well so far but they would have to redirect the fire from the scouts onto the more intact buildings to the west unless they were to become a casualty of friendly rounds. One of them had to signal the scouts on the comm-net to check their fire and turn it on the buildings that were further to the west.
Just then their comm-net opened and Commander Zenodius came onto the line.
“Brother Shalluat and Amores, hit the flank of the enemy now. Scouts check your fire, we have friendlies performing a flank attack.”
*****************************************************************************************************
“Commander in situation as such the command squad is to go first, the rest of the squad covering them from behind and the front. Without a structure of command there can be no success.”
There was a flicker of a smile on the face of Rallus Zenodius as he turned to Flavius, but that was hidden by a helmet and the marine was none the wiser. Guillford was almost unnerving to those who were not accustomed to his voice and mannerisms. The metallic vocal chords and the codex quotes were an eerie combination.
“Very astute Brother Flavius. You are correct.” With that he turned to apothecary Silvanus and spoke quickly. “Brother Apothecary, it is time. Follow me and prepare for close combat.”
With a nod to Flavius he crouched, ready to spring into a sprint. After a five count the bolter of Flavius opened up on the rebels to the north. The bolter rounds flying over the top of the supply truck as the air was filled with the zing of autofire and crack of lasfire.
Rallus Zenodius bounded into action and sped for the North buildings, running tall and moving at an incredible speed for such a large being. Many a guardsman and rebel alike paused momentarily to stare in awe as the powered armour figure crossed the road in a few strides, the white armoured angel of death following close behind.

ooc: yeah sorry i haven't posted, been in a cottage in the woods over easter with a couple of friends, @gm thx for moving my character without me
Andrus was running over the street, the sounds of gunfire were all around him. Calpurnius was already firing his heavy bolter, the rythmic thudding of the individual shots of the bolter only perceptible to someone with lyman's ear, he knew after the firing they would burst in the room, taking the fight to the rebels. Every single shot he fired, he knew, had to be perfect. Every hit fatal. His rifle was an extension of the emperors will, and he knew he should not fail, but there was a little niggling in the back of his mind, like he knew that something was going to go wrong but he didn't know what. He hoped it wouldn't prove fatal. He drew his knife as he waited at the door, for his sergeants orders to storm the building.

OOC: OK scouts, due to faster recruitment than we expected the scout squad is now made up of 2 teams, alpha and bravo. Check the roster to find which one you're in. Foor now You're all under my direct command but characters who perform well may be appointed as fireteam leaders for the next mission.
IC: Julius spun away from the now thoughly bullet riddled truck and sprinted for the door fo building 2. Las bolt and hard rounds filled the air around him and chased at his heels as he threw himself into the more solid cover of the buildings entrance. The comm-link beeped in his ear.
"Scouts check your fire, we have friendlies performing a flank attack."
Julius linked in quickly with the scouts to ammend his orders.
"Team alpha, ware fire on building five. Friendlies conducting flank assault." Julius looked across at the snipers of bravo team standing in the hallway with him "Team bravo head for the roof and attack targets of opportunity"
Julius followed the scouts as they raced up the first flight of stairs towards and then peeled of on the first floor, shouldering his way through the nearest door into a large room with blown out windows along one wall. He quickly made his way to the nearest opening and began firing quick accurate bursts at any heretic head that showed itself. He kept back from the windows in the shadow of the room wherever possible, moving from window to window between shots to avoid return fire.

“Brother Shalluat and Amores, hit the flank of the enemy now. Scouts check your fire, we have friendlies performing a flank attack.”
Magnus had barely registered the order when his finger came off the trigger, instinctively responding to the force commanders order.
He'd hit one of the heretics already, so there would be one less heretic for the two battle brothers to fight when they went past.
Magnus kept an eye out, watching for the two flankers, making sure he had them covered should they need it. Unfortunately, new orders then came over the vox from the sergeant. "Team bravo head for the roof and attack targets of opportunity"
Hefting up his heavy bolter, he sprinted upstairs, the other members of Bravo team behind him. In hindsight this was a bad idea, the heavy weapon specialist probaby shouldn't be the first to enter the roof, but there was no one there anyway so it didn't matter.
The building was high enough that he had a good view of the street and the northern buildings. He aimed his weapon at the northern buildings, but was weary of hitting the flankers. Nevertheless he did send a few bursts down when targets left cover.
(OOC: Note for the two new scouts, both of you are in bravo team so should be with me on the roof)

Jacen and Muleto stood stalwart against the rain of fire that peppered them. The Auto rounds couldn't penetrate their armor, but it did prove bothersome.
Jacen activated the vox link ot Muleto and said "Frag and Smoke Grenades in. Then we clear."
As soon as he saw Muleto nod in acknowledgement, Jacen primed a frag and tossed it in along with Roland's smoke.
There was a loud bang followed by a hiss as both grenades went off. Not wasting a second, Jacen unsheathed his combat knife and strode into the room.
He saw the traitors coughing and struggling to see in the smoke from the grenades, but the Power Armor allowed Jacen to see clearly. The traitors didn't know what hit them.

OOC : Do we have smoke grenade ? I don't remember them being part of our standard package. If it's not the case I'm not throwing anything, one frag grenade per traitor should be enough, and I will edit the post.
At Jacen's command Roland threw his grenade. If the rebel was still alive after his comrade's grenade the smoke wouldn't disturb him that much, since they had to enter through the door his gun was already turned to, but the holy teaching of the Codex Astartes were to be followed, for it was the word of Roboute Guilliman, greatest of warriors.
A slight fraction of second after the detonation, they had already cross the doorway. Jacen's grenade had gone astray and the traitor was still alive but neutralized by the smoke, a proof of both the wisdom of the primarch and the weakness of the depraved. If he was in his place, even without his armor, he would have stand firmly.
One metallic flash and it was over, the man nearly beheaded by the blow.
Roland quickly scanned the room in search of life signal or doors leading to the other rooms.

Post by Petronius Commodus on Apr 14, 2009 22:15:14 GMT
(OOC: sorry for the late reply my internet crashed ) Petronius made sure to be very throughout when he looked through the rooms, yet all of the rooms were empty. As Petronius kicked the last door down, and looked through the room he could not help but think what kinds of people these were, sure they had made an ambush but even orks could do that. To think that they had left the entire ground floor empty, Which in Petroniuses mind a major tactical error, and to think that the imperial guard could not handle such a thing, and even need the help from the astartes themselves. This only added to uselessness he thought of men. Shortly after they had cleared the last room they received new orders to suppress the traitors from the upper floor. It did not take them long to reach the upper floor, as they had found a suitable room for firring. As Magnus began walking towards one of the northern windows he called "Commodus, we can't guarantee the roof is clear so cover my back while I suppress those heretics." Petronius nodded at him as an answer to that he would cover him. While watching their flank Petronius began to wonder how foolish these people were, surely a surrender or perhaps even a retreat would prove far more useful in this situation. He shook his head slightly as he thought of it, perhaps they had not even realized that they were fighting the astartes, the emperors angels of death themselves. It did not take long before sergeant Quintus voice came over the vox-channel. " Team alpha, ware fire on building five. Friendlies conducting flank assault." there was a brief pause before he gave the next order. "Team bravo head for the roof and attack targets of opportunity" Petronius activated his vox-channel “Understood sir” He looked as Magnus were heading for the roof followed by the other scouts, Petronius shortly thought of why they had let the heavy weapon walk up in front but quickly put that thought to rest as he once more opened the vox-Channel “sir the building has not yet been fully cleared, shall team alpha take care of this sir?”

“Brother Apothecary, it is time. Follow me and prepare for close combat.”
Apothecary Silvanus looked slightly weary and nodded back at the commander, what had seemed be a hard fought battle through the building had only be an introduction to the battle ahead.
Whatever lied beyond the street was where the real battle was at.
With expert speed and precision, Silvanus checked his reductor quickly. An ironic twist of fate had allowed the instrument used to retrieve fallen brothers's glands could equally be used to deal death in close quarters. The Reductor hissed softly for the thirst of blood.
Silvanus would honor its machine spirit by granting it death.
With that thought he raced across the street following the commander step by step, focusing more on what laid ahead rather than the street around.

Post by Manius Agrippa on Apr 16, 2009 23:12:40 GMT
Manius Stood in the hallway, his back to the wall aiming his Bolter up the dark stair well while monitoring the progress of both Pairs of Marines on his Live-Feed Tactical Pict-Caster as they cleared the rooms on either wing.
Behind him along the wall were framed inspirational posters urging greater productivity and administrative accuracy of data input.
He paid them no heed - they were simply irrelevant to the world that he and his Brothers inhabited.
His InterSquad Vox link crackled a split second before his Brothers Voice came through loud and clear.
++++ This is Achilles, East Wing clear. Regrouping with you Sergeant now ++++
He briefly activated his Vox in order to respond.
"ACKNOWLEDGED - VELOX, VERSUTUS, VIGILANS MY BROTHERS"
Checking the Proximity Detection System he could see that many of the earlier ghost images that had earlier plagued the device had either firmed up and had become constant blips - Achilles and Camillus appeared as clear strong white blips as did Brother's Catern and Muleto who were still advancing towards the last part of the building - (half a dozen red blips showed positions of suspected Heretics mostly on the top floor) - or they had disappeared altogether - the machine spirit no longer confused by the buildings heavy construction.
A series of flat reports rang out from the direction of the West Wing - Manius snapped his weapon down and around in that direction - small arms fire - not the report of a Holy Bolter - he realised before aiming back up the stairwell.
Seconds later he felt, then heard the thud of a grenade detonation followed a moment later by a scream that suddenly cut off with a sense of finality.
'Some one using knives again'
Thought Sgt Agrippa to himself - the teachings of the great Robute warned against the use of close combat weapons when a hail of Bolter rounds would do the job much more efficiently. Granted close combat certainly had its place - a silent blade in the case of silencing a sentry for example was worth a Thousand Bolt rounds - or as a weapon of necessity when a Marine was out of Ammo or unable to reload. Or when the momentum and violence of Hand to Hand combat was the only way to clear a location in a timely fashion.
He would have to have words after the OP. The extra second or so it took to slay an enemy with a Close Combat weapon compared to blasting them apart with the holy wraith of a Bolter might mean the difference between life and death for a Marine or indeed another Brother.
Still with that thought in his mind Sgt Agrippa un-clipped the strap holding his Mk. X "Hellsteeth" Pattern Chainsword secure in its sheath and loosened his 'old friend' in case it was needed.
Satisfied he re-aimed his Bolter up the stairs and awaited the return of Brothers Achilles and Camillus as well as a contact report from Brother's Catern and Muleto.

'Emperor guide me.'
Tiberius sprinted across the road, following his squadmates as they prepared to assault west in support of the Force commander and Apothacary. Glancing west, Tiberius spotted the convoy gaurds, every one clinging to scraps of cover as autorounds struck the ground, sending showers of dirt into the air.
Finding himself inside the building, Tiberius reloaded his bolter, preparing for the fight ahead. Kraytirous and Diaclois were already there, each ready to storm into the ruins shielding the heretics from fire. Tiberius offered a prayer to the Emperor and prepared to turn the corner.
'Come, brothers. the Enemy waits for defeat!'

Narek followed behind Magnus, feeling foolish for letting the heavy weapons be on point. His brother could easily handle any challenge set before him, but there was always a chance that something bad was around the corner. Narek turned into the closest room to him, giving it a quick scan, then headed to a window to provide suppressing fire. He could see the battle unfold beneath him. Taking shots at enemies on the northern buildings, Narek moved from cover to dodge enemy fire, remaining aware to keep an eye out for the flankers and silently praying to the Emperor to bless his accuracy.

“Brother Shalluat and Amores, hit the flank of the enemy now. Scouts check your fire, we have friendlies performing a flank attack.”
Diaclois took a breath before charging at the enemy. He had survived so far, perhaps he would last the battle. Raising his bolter, he fired a few rounds, cutting cleanly through the skull of a heretic. The sniping stopped for a moment, as though letting them through. He turned and saw Kraytirous behind him, his heavy bolter spitting out fire and death. He was glad to have the more experienced marine next to him. Yes, I will survive... I must. He thought, remembering his childhood.
