yesterday my anti virus software disovered a trojan, that little bugger corrupted my entire software. my internet browser didn't want to work any more, and a couple of drivers from the xp service pack 2 were also screwed, had to hunt the little asshole down and kill it but it just didn't want to die. Anyway i had to delete everything and reinstall the whole shit. I finally have everything more or less up to specs

I spent the night at a friends place for his birthday, we watched some movies and played through the entirety of a Dragon Ball Z videogame quoting every episode and chatting about every character throughout. Then things turned to Warcraft and I zoned out, feeling out of place.
Following that, I took my girlfriend to see Monsters Vs Aliens. Not a bad movie, she enjoyed it, and I enjoyed it with her. Win-win.

Alright, let's see, what's been happening in my life last couple of days? Well, had a barbecue yesterday, nice warm weather so that was good, and got very wet when my brother and sister decided to fill up some balloons with water and throw them at everyone. Oh and my neice was so sweet in her little paddling pool Went to my cousins the night before, that was fun, spent the whole night looking after the same neice from above but at least we were indoors. Got some pizza too. Yeah that's what I've been doing the last two days. Not all that exciting really. Oh, the NRNS server on battlefielt 2 has been hacked, so it's been interesting playing games on there lately. And now I'm sat listening to Auxelli0ns "talking about tyranids" videos on youtube. I'm boring you now aren't I?

If anyone is curious as to why I dissappeared for a week I did a cross country marathon... and I mean that literally - it went from Rostrevor (UK) to Dublin. Then I spent the last 18 hours asleep. Not gonna be around for long though I got some mountain boarding competitions coming up.

Good luck with those competitions.
As for me, I had to work at a music festival today. A bunch of bands came in and played classical music.
I think it was 20 bands, and the show started at 8 this morning and didn't get done till 5. I had to set up the equipment and record the music.
After all that, me and the family celebrated my mom's birthday.

Well this week I finally finished 'Mount and Blade' by capturing the last Castle/City. The game might not be as polished as some but it took the critics by suprise and its got the best foot and horse mounted medieval combat system that I have ever played.
My Character was totally awesome - time to find some mods for the game and start again.

I'm back! (cries in relief)
I did so much in the past week I'm unsure if I will ever walk again. That and the lack of Internet access gave me withdrawal symptoms...
Just started reading Tolstoy's "War and Peace". Actually I'm reading it twice at once... I have Russian and English versions because my Russian isn't so good and I occassionally need help with some of the more archaic prose.
Still I'm finding it very good and it should keep me reading for some time.

Welcome back War And Peace is an excellent book - I especially liked Tolstoy's description of the Battle of Borodino - its brilliant and hammers home the fact no one person or persons controls (or even understands) a battle. Enjoy.

Well my fraking PC died this weekend - Friday night as well I was totally lost without it - and i even managed to get some sleep Now I know enough about PCs to be dangerous - perhaps some of you here could suggest what might have gone wrong? Basically during a game it started chugging (not done that before in this game) and on Thursday it crashed out of the game a few times with the screen totally frozen. Friday night it would not boot up past the 'loading Windows XP' screen and I noticed virtical blue lines (in groups of 4) in the first boot up screen (where it does the RAM count etc) - but it 'would' let me boot up into safe mode!! Now I think it is the Graphics card but I have never had a PC die on me before - I usually replace them every 2 years. Any experiance with a dying PC?

Sounds like a graphics card problem to me but if I were you I'd take it to a specialist rather than try and diagnose it yourself. In the long run it will probably save you a lot of time and money.
