I think 'demo-charge' is the equivalent to C4, however I have no idea what the explosive actually is, it could well be C4 for all I know.

The demo charge equivalent for space marines would be krak grenades or melta bombs depending on the level of destruction required.
The reason I didn't include a demolitions specialist is I reasoned that all marines carry demolitions gear as standard so they must all have training in its use. If they need to disarm something more complex then they would call a tech-marine.

Actually from most books Iv'e read the demolitions expert is a Tech Marine.

Hello all, just had a quick question.
First, what about a librarian? I have seen neither hide nor hair of any mention of psychic abilities, which leads me to assume that psychic abilities are not available. Is this true? I only ask because Im working on my character submission and would love to be a librarian if possible.

I think we mentioned this in another thread but to recap; We're trying to build a basic force of a few squads before we add in dreadnaughts and librarians and stuff like that. We will add that stuff eventually but when we do it will be a staff appointed post. We'll ask existing members who are interested in playing the librarian to submit a character bio and we'll pick the member we think is best able to handle the role.

I would assume that I (the vehicle specialist) would mostly be comandeering vehicles, i.e., in the Ultramarines Omnibus when they sneak into the ork settlement on a stolen wartrukk. Just what I think.
EDIT: Also, I called Librarian first, so NEH! :finger

It would be interesting to play a dreadnought, even more interesting if the transformation happened in game. Say if one of our characters gets torn apart by some death world beastie and the gm deems it necassary for him to live; it would be neat if that guy becomes a dreadnought from his wounds.
Would this be the way to determine who becomes a dreadnought or would someone just write up a character?
Also, do you guys think it's possible for a dreadnought to change his loadout between missions, and would you allow a dreadnought assault drill?

First it would take time... lots of time. Not every space marine is "dreadnought material", each chapter have a limited supply of dreadnoughts and they are reserved to the bests. Even if we have an available one it would make little sense to honor a simple battle-brother with it (even more with someone like me, not even over half a century old).
