If we were Blood Angel successors we'd suffer from the Flaw, and as we don't, I think it's safe to say we're Ultramarine successors. Plus I think most of us would rather be Ultramarine successors anyway.

Personally I always had a soft spot for the blood angels, they were the first 40k army I ever collected. But I think that randomly picking a couple of characters before each mission and declaring them incurably insane, forcing the players to gen new characters, would be a good way to lose forum members.

That's a good point. Of course there's a possibility that like the Lamenters chapter, we could have lucked out of inheriting the genetic flaw and unlike the Lamenters, not be near annihilation. Personally, I'd rather not be a knock off of the Ultramarines.

That would make sense as the Lamentors have bad luck in combat like the Omega Marines seemed to during the Armageddon campaign.

We were not unlucky in Armageddon.
Garhatzghull Thraka brought billions of orks to the invasion. The battle of Gate IX saw hundreds of killa kans and deff dreds as well as numerous war traks, warr trukks etc etc. Add to this billions of Boyz and you see why the whole of the segmentum solar could have fallen to the orks.
We lost alot of marines because our main roles lied outside the relatively well defended Hives.

To be fair, we sent 9 companies to Armageddon and only one of them is seriously under strength, I wouldn't have called that unlucky. Especially when, as Deliverance says, there were several billion orks and their acompanying vehicles there.

I demand a famous librarian (not necessarily master, but up their) that has mysteriously disappeared, and was then found killed by a tyranid warrior. A boy manages to kill the warrior w/ the librarians power sword. (seem familiar?)
Please? I'm trying to flesh out this character, and it would help.

One month since I last worked on the IA... Time to get back to the job. I was thinking about posting a copy of it on the Bolter & Chainsword, in order to have more advices but you guys could want to keep it our business. Any objection ?

If you feel it necessary.
However, we are trying to build the Omega Marines as a community. If you require aid then ok but I would like this to be our chapter, not the Bolter and Chainsword's.
Please bear this in mind.

Agreed with Rallus, don't get me wrong, I love the B&C, but this is something we're making for ourselves, not something we really need the B&Cs help with.

Not offence, as B&C members might know, I HATE SPACE SMURFS! The only good ones are uriel ventris and his company. and sicarius.
What about the Fists?

I made myself known as an ennemy of the smurfs in several places and boards but sadly the evidences are against us this time. Trust me, I would have preferred the Fists but the truth is we ARE smurfies descendants.
As for the B&C it was just a proposition to have more feedback since I have trouble getting myself to work without it, but if you prefer not to it's ok. I will have some new pieces done this week.

So, will we all be getting copies of this codex? I think it would be pretty cool to have all the characters on this site be mentioned in the codex... It'd be nice to help make a codex...

I don't know if this has been suggested before, but will the IA just be fluff? If so I think it would be a cool idea to make rules for each of our characters. They could be upgrades for squads, like Tellion or a single elite choice (as squads) or something.
