Name: Marcus Camillus
Age: 104
Designation: Tactical Marine
Height: 8' 2"
Hair Colour: White
Physical Description: An oddity, even among the Gene-modified Astartes, Marcus' Skin, eyes and hair are completely colourless, a strange reaction of his DNA to the introduction of the chapter Geneseed. He is blunt faced and weathered by years of war, bearing a long scar along the left side of his head, where his ear is missing. His strange lack of Pigment and Immense height make his apperance terrifying to the enemies of the Emperor and he uses this to full effect.
Marcus stands tall, erect and proud as a Space Marine should. His odd features make him difficult to read and only those closest to or perhaps the chapter librarians can truly know what he is thinking. His appearance may be unnerving but it is judged to be an asset in battle and the chapter Apothecaries have ascertained that the mutation was unlikely to recur in future generations.
Personality: Marcus is a good soldier, though somewhat arrogant. His survival in the face of impossible odds has given him a view of himself that is slightly rose-tinted. Some say that this attitude will lead to his death, others say it will lead him to acts of great heroism.
Marcus was monitored for some time after becoming a Scout as the Apothecaries debated his unusual mutation. Due to this he is less experienced than a Battle Brother of his age would usually be but he makes up for this with a natural aptitude for warfare.
When out of Duty Marcus is edgy, brooding and abrasive. However when he enters a combat situation Marcus seems to calm down, becoming relaxed, joking with his comrades and seming to generally enjoy himself. More at home in battle than out of it Marcus is slightly unbalanced and is under observation by the Chapter Librarium.

History: Marcus' recruitment was like most Marines, brutal and harrowing. After surviving the trails he entered the Scout Company. He served as a scout for many years, fighting against several enemies but most notably against the Greenskin horde of Waagh Kazrod.
During the campaign against Kazrod Marcus' squad were sent on a recon mission to search out an ork encampment. This encampment turned out to be several times larger than tactical simulations had anticipated and soon the Astartes were forced to retreat in face of an Ork warband, lacking supplies and heavy support. Marcus' squad were caught behind enemy lines.
Some weeks later the original scout force returned with reinforcements from the battle companies only to find the Orks in dissaray and easily defeated. Marcus was found to be the only member of his squad remaining, having no rations and only 4 sniper rounds remaining, his squad having slain the Ork Boss leading the warband. It was decided Marcus would join the 4th Company before they left for Armaggedon, as his experience with Orks would be most useful.
While fighting on Armaggedon Marcus proved himself as a full Battle Brother of the 4th, fighting in the hot, steamy jungle regions. His recent experiences of fighting Greenskins and scouting jungle terrain proving to be extremely usefull in the field.
Having been sent on several infiltration missions, taking out key emplacments and Ork leaders. This included the infamous warboss Narghod who was slain in combat by Marcus while his squad fought of the Boss' Nob guard. This particular acheivment was decisive in the strike force's cleansing of the region.
Unfortunatlly During an encounter with the widely feared Ork designated "Snickrot" in an unlikely ambush over half of Marcus' squad was lost and Marcus himself was gravely wounded, being removed to the Deliverance while the Apothacaries deal with the near-fatal wounds that the Ork dealt to him.
Sample Roleplay: Marcus looked around at his Brothers as they slowly stalked through the woods towards the Greenskin camp. This was where he was at home, hidden, silent, deadly. He saw Sergeant Camidus Gesturing towards a clearing ahead, using the signal language of the Astartes. {Orks Ahead}{Flank Left}. Marcus nodded and set off.
Creeping through the undergrowth Marcus took up his position to the left of the Squad. Attaching his Scope he aimed his Bolter at the clearing. As the image focused he could see several dozen Greenskins, mostly Orks. One was slightly larger than the rest, the Nob, Marcus realised. Taking aim at the Nob's head preparing for the moment of attack, he could see other Marines taking places in the woods across from him.
So brief and quiet only an Astartes could hear the Sergeant broadcast over the local comms net
As soon as the command was issued Marcus depressed the trigger, the silenced shell exploding the Nob's head in a fountain of gore. Before the Orks could react Brother Avilus, armed with his flamer stepped out of the treeline, gouts of burning promethium searing the Orks to ashes. Marcus grinned as the squad opened fire on the survivors bolt shells tearing them to peices...
Marcus stood in the clearing, lounging against a tree. The other Marines of his squad were cleaning their weapons of the Greenskin's blood when the Sergeant spoke up.
"Alright lads, Orders just came in from the deliverance. We're to take the Greenskin base up ahead. We might encounter some resistance so be ready."
Marcus spoke up stalking over to the Sergeant, a look of fury upon his face.
"What! I saw the tactical apraissal, that base is reinforced with heavy weapons and looks big enough to hold hundreds of Orks! There's no way we can take it without support."
The sergeant looked over at him, eyes cold and calculating as if looking at a rabid dog.
"You will adress me as Sergeant, Marine! As for support that has been taken care of - the chapter would not send us needlessly to our deaths and I am not such a poor leader as to lead my men in a futile attack!"
Marcus looked down at the shorter Sergeant, considering speaking again. Instead he grudgingly nodded and replied.
"Aye sir!"
The squad set off into the forest again, an uneasy silence desending on the Marines...
